ProQuest's ABI/INFORM® Expands to Include The Wall Street Journal
Prestigious business news content added to ProQuest's flagship business periodicals database Divided line

ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 17, 2003 - ProQuest Information and Learning announced the addition of the full text of The Wall Street Journal to its family of ABI/INFORM full-text business databases. The content will be available immediately through the Web-based ProQuest® online information service.

The addition of the Wall Street Journal content provides ABI/INFORM users with access to the current full-text file of The Wall Street Journal, covering the years 1984 to present (with daily updates).

"To continue and build on ABI/INFORM's leadership as the premier business periodicals database, we are adding this rich news content to provide a different dimension of coverage and value to library customers," said Rod Gauvin, senior vice president of sales and marketing for ProQuest Information and Learning. "We know that business researchers highly value the Wall Street Journal's detailed business analysis, and it is the perfect complement to the in-depth journal content for which ABI/INFORM is known. Bringing the resources together in a single database brings added value to customers, completeness to researchers, and simplicity to searching on business topics."

The Wall Street Journal full text will be part of full-text subscriptions to ABI/INFORM® CompleteTM, ABI/INFORM® GlobalTM, ABI/INFORM® ResearchTM for academic and public library customers. Due to licensing agreements, corporate customer subscriptions will not receive The Wall Street Journal in their ABI/INFORM subscriptions.

ProQuest also offers the complete digital backfile of The Wall Street Journal (1889-1985) in full page image through its ProQuest Historical NewspapersTM program.
