“The exclusive agreement adds more excellent titles to ProQuest’s databases and solidifies our relationship with Palgrave Macmillan. EMR, the much-anticipated new journal from the European Academy of Management, adds weight and authority to our international business coverage,” said Steven Hall, ProQuest Senior Vice President of Publishing.
European Management Review is a new forum for international management research. Its editorial board contains representatives from almost every top business school in Europe, making it recognizable throughout the European Business Schools Librarians’ Group and wider Europe. Contributors to the first issue, themed ‘The Millennium Nexus: Strategic Management at the Cross-roads’, include Henk Volberda, Stewart Clegg, David Knights, Robert Chia and High Willmott. A second issue will be published in November and the journal will be quarterly from 2005 onwards.
“By extending our agreement with ProQuest, we will ensure the best possible access to our journal content for scholars and other researchers in the global educational library market,” said David Bull, Journals Director for Palgrave Macmillan.
Other titles include Development, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of International Relations and Development, Acta Politica, and Psychoanalysis, Culture and Society. The agreement includes electronic distribution as well as microfilm and fiche worldwide. EMR and Journal of International Relations and Development are new to electronic distribution.
The Palgrave Macmillan titles will be available in ProQuest’s ABI/INFORM® family of online business periodical databases, PsycINFO®, General Reference databases and ProQuest Computing™. The new titles will be available beginning in Q3 2004 with a one-year embargo.
