I want to use an article or image from SIRS databases for training/research. Do I have to ask for permission?

Answer

SIRS is not able to grant reprint permissions for materials obtained from SIRS databases. However, many educational uses are covered by the Fair Use provision of the Copyright Act of 1976. See Citation Guidelines.
